Process Control Systems

Process Control is widely used in industry and manufacturing and enables mass production of continuous processes, which can be achieved from a single control panel or control room to automate various processes. 

Process Control systems are designed using standard or custom written software packages (PLC or PC) formulated around individual or company specifications. 

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

Programmable Logic Controller or a PLC, read a set of digital and analog inputs, and apply a set of logic statements that then produce a set of analog and digital outputs. 

Distributed control systems (DSC)

Distributed control systems (DCSs) control manufacturing processes that are continuous and Batch-oriented. Sensors and actuators control DCSs via point controllers to allow material to flow through the process. The controllers are activated by pressure or flow measurements and by the aid of signal conditions, input / out (I/O).

Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) 

A SCADA system relates to a coordination system that monitors and controls industrial infrastructure or facility-based processes. As communication infrastructures with higher capabilities become available, the boundaries between SCADA and DCS are diminishing.
