Recent Industrial & Commercial Electrical Distribution Installations

QUEST Electrical has recently completed a range of MCCB, section board and distribution board installations across industrial and commercial sites, alongside the associated large submain cabling and containment.

These projects form an important part of the electrical infrastructure behind factories, warehouses and commercial buildings, safely distributing power from the main LV supply to machinery, production equipment, plant and final circuits.

Supporting Changing Electrical Demands

The electrical requirements of an industrial or commercial site rarely stay the same.

New machinery, production lines, building extensions and additional electrical equipment can all increase demand on the existing installation. In many cases, older distribution boards and section boards may also have limited spare capacity for future expansion.

Recent projects completed by our engineers have involved installing new MCCB-protected section boards and three-phase distribution boards, together with large SWA and submain cabling, cable ladder, tray and containment.

These installations provide clients with the additional electrical capacity required for both their current operations and future development.

More Than Just a Distribution Board

Installing a new section board or distribution board is often only one part of a much larger electrical infrastructure project.

Cable sizing, protective devices, fault levels, discrimination, containment routes and the existing LV supply all need to be considered when designing and installing larger industrial electrical distribution systems.

On operational sites, the works also need to be carefully planned to minimise disruption to production and normal business activities.
