UK Bedding Company – Commercial EV Charging Installation

The Project

QUEST Electrical were appointed by a UK bedding company to install a new commercial EV charging solution as part of the introduction of their new electric vehicle fleet.

The project involved the installation of 3 x 22kW EV chargers, providing dedicated workplace charging facilities for the company's first electric vehicles and establishing the infrastructure needed to support their transition towards an electrified fleet.

The installation was designed around the site's existing electrical infrastructure and the operational requirements of the business.

The Challenge

As the company began introducing electric vehicles into its fleet, it required a reliable workplace EV charging solution capable of supporting day-to-day vehicle operations.

The installation needed to provide sufficient charging capacity for the initial fleet while ensuring the electrical infrastructure was suitable for the additional demand.

Careful consideration was also given to the positioning of the chargers, electrical supplies and associated protection to provide a practical solution for regular fleet charging.

The Solution

QUEST supplied and installed 3 x 22kW three-phase EV chargers, providing a combined charging capacity of 66kW across the three charging points.

Our engineers completed the associated electrical supplies, containment, protection and connections, followed by testing and commissioning of the completed EV charging installation.

The new charging infrastructure provides the business with a dedicated on-site solution for its new electric vehicle fleet while creating a foundation that can be considered as its EV requirements develop.

The Result

The completed installation provided the customer with a reliable and convenient commercial EV charging facility, enabling the business to begin operating its new electric vehicle fleet with dedicated charging available on site.
